A Firm was prosecuted after a court heard how an employee seriously damaged his hand when it was trapped in an unguarded machine.

The Firm was fined £10,000 under section 2(1) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 for failing to ensure the health and safety of an employee. In addition the company was ordered to pay costs of £986.
