A chemical manufacturer was fined after a court heard how a workers arm was seriously injured when he was hit by the lid of a pressure vessel.

The company was fined £100,000 under Regulation 11 & 12 of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 and in addition was ordered to pay prosecution costs of £24,474.
